As we approach the 2026 MultiGP College Drone Racing Championship, I’d like to share a few important details:

Membership & Requirements
Please make sure you have your AMA membership (required for insurance purposes and checked at check-in):

You should also have your FAA TRUST certificate:
https://trust.pilotinstitute.com/login/signup.php
(This will not be checked by MultiGP.)

Airport Shuttle
We will have a shuttle van picking up from the airport at approximately 3:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
If you would like a pickup, please text Mark at 682-552-6494 when you land, along with your party size.

Registration Times

Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Please note: you must check in and receive your sponsor goodie bag before flying.

If you arrive early and would like to help at the field, you are more than welcome!

PRO SPEC ESPORT INVITATION

We’re excited to invite you to the Pro Spec Sim Tournament 2026, the official MultiGP simulator competition designed to test precision, consistency and speed.

Winner will earn an invitation in the 2026 Pro Spec World Championship (in Real Life of course!)

Pilots will fly the official track on Velocidrone and submit their top 3 consecutive lap times during the qualifying window.
Only registered pilots with a valid ticket will be included in the Official Qualifying Leaderboard.

Invitation to Participate — CDRA 2026

Dear Faculty, Department Representatives, and University Administrators,

I am writing to invite your institution to participate in the College Drone Racing Association (CDRA), powered by MultiGP, and to encourage your students to join the 2026 collegiate tournament. CDRA is designed to support institutions that want an accessible, structured pathway for students to engage in applied engineering and competitive technology programs through FPV drone racing.

At its core, collegiate drone racing combines hands-on STEM with measurable performance outcomes—students iterate, test, and improve within real constraints, developing skills that align with engineering education and workforce readiness.

STEM & Engineering value for your students

Applied electrical & computer engineering: power systems, signal integrity, embedded concepts, radio protocols, and troubleshooting.
Systems engineering mindset: integration of hardware, software, control, and human factors under strict performance constraints.
Rapid prototyping & iteration: design-test-measure cycles, data-driven improvements, and technical documentation.
Team-based execution: defined roles (pilot, builder, technician, analyst, media/operations) mirroring real engineering teams.
Recruitment & engagement: a modern competitive format that attracts and retains students across STEM disciplines.

What participation looks like

CDRA provides an official structure to register your institution, organize a school chapter, and enable students to compete under a unified collegiate banner. Programs can be hosted as a student organization, a lab/club, or integrated into existing engineering or esports initiatives.

The 2026 season includes competitive opportunities such as the CDRA eSport Tournament (team-vs-team format over multiple weekends) as a pathway toward the CDRA Collegiate Championship.

REGIONAL SERIES ARE COMING BACK!

Greetings organizers!

We are so excited to be moving toward our first regional series since 2018! We have created new Discord channels initially just sorted on more of a "continental" level. If your chapter is in an area or region that could be grouped with multiple areas, feel free to join both for now.

Once we have a good representation in the channels, we will discuss if and/or how these continents should be divided into regions. I will include more information in the channel about what we are targeting.

Once we have all of the areas divided, we will be looking for a representative from each region to help organize the series and provide leadership for your region.

Here is the timeline for planning the regional series:
